"Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Waters will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert." Isaiah 35:6

Friday at Big Springs

Good evening to  Miriams' prayer team!

Your prayers are so much appreciated.....thank you!
First, I must explain that the blogsite had a crash early this morning and the most recent posting( when Miriam woke up!) was temporarily removed. It has since been restored, but unfortunately all comments were lost for that day! So, I apologize to those of you who who sent praises and rejoicings following Miriams "Big Day"!
here is the latest from Alex:

Dear Family and Friends,

Mom/Miriam is slowly recovering. She is back sleeping a lot. The recent event when she woke up crying was a painful reality for her. Miriam wanted to verbalize and move but couldn't. I told her that this is our moment to glorify God. There is no turning back. We will trust Him and believe His will for our family. I reminded her of Joshua 1:9 " Do not be afraid, Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

We miss her so much.  The other night, Howie dreamt of our family with happy and healthy Miriam having a great time in Disneyland. He woke up and realized that it was just a dream. Howie cried. The pain is hard to describe but God saved her and He has a reason. We continue to rest and wait upon the Lord.

 In His Time,

Dad/Alex

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord  rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,O descendants of Israel his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
I Chronicles 16 : 8-13

  2. I hope it is all right that I send you my mail via this blog.

I was searching today for friends, mostly music students whom I have had the wonderful opportunity of working with in my youth. Among the people I was keen on finding was Miriam Uyboco, a keyboardist with whom I shared the same music mentor and with whom I had performed many times in concerts in the Philippines during the late 70s.

In my search, I was then driven to your site, and was thus wondering if the Miriam here is the Miriam Uyboco I knew.

Going over the stories on this blog, I am deeply moved by the kindness and generosity of the family and friends that surround Miriam, praying for her constantly and willing her to recover from her illness. I can sense very strongly how much she is loved and how loving therefore she has been as a wife, mother, and friend. I would not be surprised if she would then be the musician I knew, the Miriam who was so giving with her talent, yet humble despite the gifts bestowed upon her by the Lord.

If this is indeed the same Miriam, I would appreciate a word from the keeper of this blog. An email to my address: norman.agatep@eurorscg.com.ph would be nice.

May the Lord continue to bless you in your most trying times, and strengthen you with the power of God's infinite love.

    Sincerely,
    Norman Agatep
